Stone Mountain Stables is owned by Frank and Anne
Peno and has been a growing equine facility for nearly a
decade. We offer lessons, showing opportunities,
shareboarding and boarding. We pride ourself in teaching
"Exceptional Horsemanship", not just riding. All students
of SMS learn horse care and management in addition to
riding.

| We now have new cross country schooling fences! This is the first of our fences and more will be added and designed to cater to a variety of riding levels. |
Our new Outdoor Arena is under construction and will be 80' x 160' with the
same excellent footing. Plenty of room in both arenas allow for comfort in all
the disciplines we offer. (Photos will be posted soon!!)

Our brand new indoor arena is 72' x 150'. Our one of a kind, virtually dust-free footing mixture is like no other in the
area. Although the arena is well equipped with lights, during the day we seldom need them, given the amount of
natural daylight our windows allow in.

We have a seven stall main barn, 3 stall pony barn, and an additional 5 stall barn.
Our facility sits on 10.6 acres of land in the center of a beautifully landscaped site. Surrounded by
mountains and fields, SMS has a feeling of natural seclusion only 5 minutes from downtown State College.
